Pop-Tarts Put Orange Soda in a Toaster Pastry and Called It Squeezed to Death
Orange soda for breakfast sounds like a bad decision until somebody frosts it and puts it in the toaster. Then I'm all in. Pop-Tarts and Liquid Death...
Oreo just turned a coffee run into a foot race, and most of us are going to lose.
The brand dropped five new cookies this week, and the loudest one is Espresso Creme Oreo Thins: thin chocolate wafers with espresso flavored creme in the middle. Sounds like a normal store launch, right? Nope. Oreo made 1,000 packs. Total. For the whole country.
Four cookies you can buy like a normal person, and one that wants you in a digital street fight at checkout.

You can't grab them off a shelf, either. You register at Oreo.com between Oct. 20 and Nov. 3, and on Nov. 4 the brand emails you a redemption code. The first 1,000 people to redeem get a free pack and pay just $2.99 in shipping. Everybody else gets a story about the cookie that got away.
The other four are playing fair. Salted Caramel Shortbread cookies are already popping up at Walmart, with crunchy sugar crystals in the creme. Gluten Free Lemon puts lemon creme between vanilla wafers. Dark Chocolate Zero Sugar skips the sugar and keeps the chocolate. Gingerbread Cakesters swap the crunch for soft gingerbread cakes around vanilla creme, and they're already out at stores like Kroger and Publix for about $4.99 a box.
Four cookies you can buy like a normal person, and one that wants you in a digital street fight at checkout. Oreo knows exactly what it's doing.
